A
new mobile availability service
Trying to reach someone can be a frustrating experience, in particular
when you and your contact are busy ‘road warriors’
or ‘corridor warriors’. Context information from an
electronic calendar and simple availability preferences can save
you and your contact a world of frustration. Live Contacts
is a mobile availability service that provides such context information:
in just three clicks, it helps you to get in touch with the right
contact at the right moment via the right communication channel.
Live Contacts
shows the following information about your contacts:
- messenger status (online, offline, away, ...);
- calendar information (a.o. type of appointment);
- location information (work, mobile, home).
Live Contacts also offers:
- availability preferences (red, orange, green) for communication
media (work phone, mobile phone, home phone, SMS, Messenger,
e-mail);
- depending on the type of appointment;
- or depending on the Messenger status;
- making contact with the press of a key: immediately or later
via a reminder.
Starting the end of
2003, a group of knowledge workers will put Live Contacts to the
test in their daily work for several months.
